A Journey of Faith, Love, and Motherhood at 48

My name is Rene Byrd, Mother’s Day holds a profound new meaning for me this year. After years of unwavering faith, hope, and resilience, I am now celebrating this day as a first-time mother at 48. My journey to motherhood was anything but conventional—it was a testament to patience, medical science, and the sheer power of belief.

As a singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and co-founder of the successful Who Am I Talk podcast, I poured my heart into my career and passions. But deep within me, the dream of becoming a mother never faded. The path was not easy—IVF is not for the faint-hearted. Every moment had to align perfectly for a viable pregnancy, and there were countless challenges along the way. But on November 28th—Thanksgiving Day—I welcomed my beautiful baby boy into the world, a poetic homage to my American husband and a love story that crossed borders.

Now, I am navigating the maze of postpartum recovery while embracing the joys and challenges of new motherhood. Moving into perimenopause while caring for a newborn is a journey of its own—one filled with lessons, vulnerability, and strength. My journey is one of perseverance, faith, and the beauty of motherhood at any stage in life.

Love,

Rene Byrd
